IB Celebration - March 16, 2012
Farmdale Elementary held a celebration for becoming an IB World School. The event featured Mayor Villaraigosa, who gave the school a Certificate of Congratulations on behalf of the City of Los Angeles and Local District 5 Superintendent Roberto Martinez who gave a rousing speech. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, gave Farmdale two new banners and a donation of $216.
The students and staff also enjoyed performances by Wilson High School Band, El Sereno Middle School Drum Line, an Offering dance by Semillas Community School's Yahualohacan Anahuacayotl and The Immortals doing a Lion Dance.
Congratulations and thank you to the staff and administrators who worked hard over the past few years ensuring that Farmdale Elementary earned the IB World School designation.
